Join Mount Sinai’s Team IBDkids for the 2016 TCS New York City Marathon

Every November, the Children’s IBD Program at Mount Sinai fields a team of runners in the TCS New York City Marathon to raise awareness about pediatric inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and funds to support the research and family-centered, comprehensive care of our program. Team IBDkids runners have been parents of patients, siblings of patients, or their family friends. We have had physicians, medical students, and biomedical research scientists run the race. Some runners have IBD themselves. We have even had a few patients, who were treated in our program as children or teens, run the marathon for Team IBDkids.

Do you have a marathon in you? Are you ready to run for kids with IBD? The TCS New York City Marathon is a day you’ll never forget – running the city’s five boroughs in the world’s biggest marathon, cheered on by more than 2 million spectators. Plus, you’ll be helping to improve the lives of kids with Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis.

Team IBDkids is able to guarantee entry for a limited number of runner-fundraisers. For more information on running with Team IBDkids, contact childrenibd@mssm.edu.

How You Can Help Without Running

Not everyone can run 26.2 miles, but you can help in this effort by becoming an event sponsor, sponsoring a runner, or coming out to cheer on Team IBDkids on November 6, 2016. E-mail childrenibd@mssm.edu for more information.
