Pediatric Liver Program
Mount Sinai’s Pediatric Liver Program is one of the largest in the New York metropolitan area and is widely respected as a leader in caring for children with liver disease. Our program provides families with pediatric hepatologists dedicated exclusively to the care of children with liver disease, as well as a multidisciplinary group of experts in this field, including social workers, psychologists, pharmacists, nutritionists, pediatric nurses, and pediatric liver surgeons.
Our team is integrated with the Pediatric Liver Transplant Program, part of the Recanati/Miller Transplantation Institute at Mount Sinai. Our transplant program provides unparalleled treatment for children who require liver transplantation. Our hepatologists evaluate patients for transplants and follow the patients throughout the process, including the management of immunosuppression following transplantation.
