Mount St. Mary College Students Raise Money for Dubin Breast Center
Mount St. Mary College students donate $5,000 to the Dubin Breast Center.
Students at Mount Saint Mary College recently staged a concert that raised $5,000 for the Dubin Breast Center to benefit a "cause they really believe in," said Harry Steinway, Vice President for Student Affairs of Mount Saint Mary College.
After learning of the Center from Eva Dubin, who is also a supporter of Mount Saint Mary’s College, the college’s administration approached the student government leaders and asked them if they would be interested in raising funds for the Center. "They immediately embraced the idea," said Kelly Yough, Associate Dean for Student Affairs, noting that the student government conducts many breast cancer awareness activities. The student government presented a check with the funds raised by the concert, which featured popular singer Travie McCoy, to Dr. Dubin and other members of the Center’s leadership and afterwards received a tour of the facilities led by Dr. Dubin.
"This was a very rewarding experience for our students and they particularly enjoyed the personal tour that Mrs. Dubin gave them," said Sandra Cefaloni, Director of Student Activities. "Her message about the Center’s mission was inspirational. Our students are proud to be supporters of the Dubin Breast Center."
