The Dubin Breast Center’s Integrative Health and Wellness Program offers a range of services, including the following.

Psychological Services

Our team of experienced clinical psychologists offers evidence-based psychotherapy, family/couples therapy, coping skills training, symptom management interventions, clinical hypnosis, and relaxation techniques that promote quality of life and enable patients to:

  • Reduce feelings of anxiety and sadness
  • Relieve stress
  • Fight fatigue
  • Improve sleep
  • Reduce side treatment-related side effects (e.g., pain, nausea, fatigue)
  • Manage fear of recurrence
  • Stop smoking
  • Ease the transition from treatment to survivorship
  • Adjust to the diagnosis and treatment

Massage Therapy

Our team of New York State Licensed Massage Therapists (LMT) and Nationally Board Certified Reflexologists (NBCR) with additional training in oncology and hospital-based massage offers hand, shoulder and neck massage, foot reflexology, and relaxation techniques to help:

  • Reduce pain and fatigue
  • Decrease anxiety
  • Lessen nausea
  • Improve sleep
  • Enhance body image
  • Provide a greater sense of well-being

Nutrition Services

Our nutritionist is a registered dietitian, who has received specialization in oncology nutrition and works with patients in individual or group settings to meet their personal lifestyle goals. Nutrition consultations are focused on factors that contribute to health, such as sleep patterns, diet, physical activity, and stress and are aimed at the promotion of:

  • General wellness and optimal energy levels
  • Effective weight management
  • Reduction of risk for chronic diseases
  • Management of cancer or treatment related symptoms
  • Healthful cooking and meal planning
