About the Mount Sinai Adolescent Health Center

Now more than ever, NYC’s young people need access to the critical health care and support necessary to grow into the healthiest version of themselves. The Mount Sinai Adolescent Health Center breaks down barriers to care by providing comprehensive, confidential primary care, sexual and reproductive health, behavioral and mental health, health education, nutrition, optical, and legal services—all under one roof, at no direct cost to patients.

This means that a young person might make an appointment for an annual physical but also receive sexually transmitted infection (STI) testing, counseling services, and legal support during the same appointment. In addition to our main center in East Harlem, we operate six school-based health centers serving 23 middle and high schools. Together, these services help adolescents and young adults stay in school and give them the tools they need to build a healthy, fulfilling life. Each year, we serve more than 8,000 vulnerable young people ages 10-26. Every $1,000 raised supports a full year of comprehensive health services for a young person in need. Learn more about our work.
