Clinical specialists in the department assist the pharmacy and hospital staff in the areas of Drug Information, Risk Management, Transplant, Oncology, Critical Care, Pediatrics, and Investigational Drugs. Our professional atmosphere is consistent with the academic environment of the medical center, with on-site faculty members from a local College of Pharmacy.
Benefits for pharmacists include flexible work schedules, four weeks of vacation, differential for evening shifts, and time-and-a-half for work beyond 37.5 hours per week. Pre-tax income can be put towards transit fare, parking, dependent care, college savings accounts, and a 403b savings plan. There is also a generous portable retirement benefit. A variety of health plans are offered, with free prescription coverage at the in-house Employee Pharmacy. The department also uses a progressive promotional model based on years of service as well as performance to allow for faster advancement.
