Peter Tesler, MD
Medical Director, Mount Sinai Doctors Brooklyn Heights
Dr. Tesler is the Medical Director at Mount Sinai Doctors Brooklyn Heights. He has more than 18 years of medical management experience, which includes serving as chief medical officer/vice president medical affairs for Community Healthcare Network, a 12-site primary care network of federally qualified health centers in New York City. Prior to this, he was medical director for Manhattan’s Physician Group’s 95 Street Center. He held various management positions with St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center, including medical director of ambulatory care.
His experience also includes teaching responsibilities at Tufts University School of Medicine, New England Medical Center, Boston Medical Center, Boston University School of Medicine, St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center, and Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons.
Dr. Tesler is a board certified pediatrician who has continued clinical practice. He received his undergraduate degree from Swarthmore College and his medical degree from the University of Vermont College of Medicine. His postgraduate training in pediatrics was completed at New England Medical Center in Boston. Dr. Tesler also holds an MPH degree from Boston University School of Public Health.
He is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, a fellow of The New York Academy of Medicine and a member of the America College of Physician Executives.
Dr. Tesler is married to a pediatrician and has three sons.
