COVID Girl, 14, Who Lost Taste and Smell for Six Months Told They May Not Return

A teenage girl who lost her sense of taste and smell for six months after catching Covid-19 has been told they may never return. Doctor Sam Huh, the site chair of otolaryngology head and neck surgery at Mount Sinai Brooklyn, New York, has worked with patients who suffered from parosmia months after recovering from Covid. He said: "I have a handful of patients who took eight months to recover their sense of smell and one that took a full year."
