"Precision Medicine Tool Improves Predictability of Opioid Use Disorder" - Kristin Della Volpe
An algorithm based on genetic markers and independent risk factors was designed to provide a risk stratification aid for clinical opioid prescribing and management. "Strengths of the study include a large number of subjects, but that comes with a weakness of large variability in diagnosis," commented Gerardo Miranda-Comas, MD, assistant professor of rehabilitation medicine, Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. "It is an observational study without objective measures."
