HealthDay - "Secondhand Smoke Linked to Early Heart Disease, Study Finds"
The more you're exposed to secondhand tobacco smoke, the more likely you are to develop early signs of heart disease, a new study indicates. "This research provides additional evidence that secondhand smoke is harmful and may be even more dangerous than we previously thought," says one of the authors, Dr. Harvey Hecht, associate director of cardiac imaging and professor of medicine at The Mount Sinai Medical Center. Study findings will be presented at the annual meeting of the American College of Cardiology (ACC) March 9-11 in San Francisco. Learn more
