Mount Sinai Health System was named one of the ‘Most Wired’ hospitals in 2017 by the American Hospital Association’s Health Forum. “Being most wired reflects the work of hundreds of people across Mount Sinai Health System to make sure that we have redundancy in our system, the ability to adapt quickly, and the ability to keep our network secure to keep on top of whatever the regulations are,” said Bruce Darrow, MD, PhD, associate professor of medicine, cardiology, and population health science and policy at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and vice president of information technology for The Mount Sinai Health System. “At Mount Sinai, we are doing a number of things to remotely monitor the way that our patients are taking care of themselves and to keep them healthy even after they leave the hospital or our doctor’s offices,” Dr. Darrow added.
