Youyin Choy MD, FACOG, is a board certified obstetrician-gynecologist and Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Science at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She specializes in general obstetrics and gynecology.
Dr. Choy joined Mount Sinai faculty practice in 2006 to pursue her interest in clinical medicine. Prior to Mount Sinai, she was a full-time faculty member and Assistant Professor of Clinical Obstetrics and Gynecology at New York University School of Medicine, where she earned a teaching award for her dedication to teaching medical students. Dr. Choy has received recognitions as one of the best doctors in New York. Throughout her career, she has published articles in many peer reviewed journals. Dr. Choy speaks both Cantonese and Mandarin Chinese.
Dr. Choy received her Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University and her Medical Doctorate with Honors from the State University of New York (SUNY) College of Medicine in Brooklyn. Dr. Choy completed her residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) at Newark, where she received the Outstanding Laparoendoscopic Award and the New Jersey Maternal Fetal Medicine Society Research Award.
