About Me

Dr. Yasmin Khan joined Mount Sinai as an Endocrinologist in 2018. After earning her undergraduate degree from East Tennessee University, Dr. Khan graduated with her medical degree from Trinity College Dublin School of Medicine in Ireland. Dr. Khan then completed her internship in Internal Medicine at SUNY Downstate Medical Center before moving to Case Western Reserve University for her Internal Medicine residency. To finish her training, Dr. Khan completed her fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes, & Metabolism at the University of Florida, where she served as Chief Fellow during her final year. In addition to her board certification in Endocrinology, Dr. Khan holds an Endocrine Certification in Neck Ultrasound (ECNU) and Clinical Densitometry (CCD). Dr. Khan treats a wide variety of glandular and hormonal conditions, such as diabetes, thyroid and parathyroid disorders, thyroid nodules and cancer, and osteoporosis.

In conjunction with her clinical role, Dr. Khan serves as an Assistant Professor at The Icahn School of Medicine. During her undergrad, Dr. Khan conducted research in diabetes and bariatric surgery and won the Celebration of Research Award from the University of Florida in recognition of her 2016 research work.

In her practice, Dr. Khan takes a patient-centered approach to medicine with an emphasis on communication and listening, tailoring a treatment plan to each patient's individual lifestyle. She strongly supports the efforts of those who are motivated in making healthy changes in their lives and finds it most rewarding when her patients see an overall improvement in their health and quality of life.
