About Me

Dr. Wesley H. Bronson is a Board Certified, fellowship trained spine surgeon for the Mount Sinai Health System and serves as Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery. His practice covers a wide range of spinal conditions with particular interests in minimally invasive spine surgery techniques as well as complex, revision spinal surgery.

Dr. Bronson graduated with Honors from Princeton University. He completed medical school at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, where he simultaneously obtained his MD and a MS in Bioethics. Following medical school, Dr. Bronson completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at NYU Langone Medical Center and the Hospital for Joint Diseases (now the NYU Langone Orthopedic Hospital), where he served as executive chief resident and was also awarded the Ralph Luskin Teaching Award by his peers. He completed a year of subspecialty training in spinal surgery at the Rothman Institute at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, gaining experience in complex spinal conditions including minimally invasive surgery, spinal trauma, tumor, and revision, or “failed” spinal surgery.

Dr. Bronson’s clinical focus comprises the full gamut of cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spinal conditions, ranging from outpatient minimally invasive procedures to complex adult spinal deformity and scoliosis surgery. He has been recognized by Castle Connolly Top Doctors and been named by New York Times Magazine SuperDoctors.
