Tracy Layne, PhD, MPH

About Me

Tracy M. Layne, PhD, MPH, is an Assistant Professor with joint appointments
in the Departments of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Science, and
Population Health Science and Policy.  She is a faculty member in the
Blavatnik Family Women’s Health Research Institute where her work aims to
understand the individual and collective impact of well established
(e.g., obesity and diabetes) and less explored (e.g., vitamin D status)
risk factors on gynecologic cancer risk in women of African descent. 

She completed her pre- and post-doctoral training at 
the National Cancer Institute, National Institutes of Health studying the areas of
nutrition and cancer and the molecular epidemiology of cancer in the context of
racial/ethnic cancer disparities.
