Dr. Daly earned his B.A. degree from the State University of New York at New Paltz in 1977 and his M.D. degree from Jefferson Medical College in 1983.  He did his internship in Internal Medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital from 1983 to 1984 and then was a dermatology resident at the University of Colorado School of Medicine from 1984 to 1987.  The following year Dr. Daly completed a one-year dermatopathology fellowship at the same institution.  He was board certified by the American Board of Dermatology in 1987, the American Board of Dermatopathology in 1988, and the American Board of Pediatric Dermatology in 2004.  Dr. Daly is licensed to practice medicine in New York.

In 1991 Garden City Dermatology was established and Dr. Daly has been the director of that facility continuously since then and up to the present time.  Right after completing his fellowship, he served as a Clinical Instructor at the New York College of Medicine in Dermatology and Pathology from 1988 to 1993.  He was a staff dermatologist with HIP from 1988 to 1990. Dr. Daly also serves as a consultant to the National Alopecia Areata Support Group and has volunteered his services at Wind River Indian Reservation in Wyoming, working with the Northern Arapaho and Shoshone Indian tribes.  Since 2006, Dr. Daly does skin cancer screenings through the Collette Coyne Foundation and teaches middle school children about the dangers of melanoma.
