Tatyana Kushner, MD, MSCE is Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Liver Diseases at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Her clinical practice encompasses the full spectrum of liver diseases, with a focus on viral hepatitis (hepatitis B,C, and D) and women with liver disease, including pregnancy-related liver conditions and reproductive health as it pertains to liver disease.
Her research interests is in developing improved detection and management of viral hepatitis during pregnancy, and improved understanding of the interaction of liver disease with pregnancy. Her work has been published in numerous gastroenterology and liver journals.
Dr. Kushner received her undergraduate degree from Cornell University, and graduated with academic distinction. She then received her medical degree at Mount Sinai School of Medicine where she also completed a residency program in Internal Medicine. She received fellowship training in Gastroenterology at the University of Pennsylvania, where she also obtained a Masters degree in Clinical Epidemiology. She then completed a fellowship in transplant hepatology at the University of California, San Francisco. She is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.
