Dr. Weinfeld is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon and Associate Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery as well as the Chief of Foot and Ankle Surgery at The Mount Sinai Hospital.
Dr. Weinfeld graduated from the Albany Medical College and completed his orthopaedic residency at the Albany Medical College. He then completed a fellowship in orthopaedic foot and ankle surgery at the Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. A member of the Faculty since 1996, Dr. Weinfeld is an active member of the American Academy of Othopaedic Surgery as well as the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society, where he serves on the membership committee. He is also President of the Medical Board of The Mount Sinai Hospital.

Dr. Weinfeld's interests include treatment of traumatic injuries, developmental disorders, heel pain, rheumatoid foot deformities, Morton's neuroma and bunion deformities. He is one of few surgeons performing corrective surgery in diabetic feet and treating wound problems. This includes the use of minimally invasive techniques, such as arthroscopy, which minimize pain, scarring and the need for a general anesthetic.
