Dr. Dahmer is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Family Medicine & Community Health and a board certified family physician whose passion for health and healing has taken him around the globe. He has worked in diverse settings from Umbanda terreiros in the heart of Brazil’s second largest slum, Maori clinics in New Zealand and the Navajo (Dine) reservation as a hospitalist in Chinle, Arizona.
Dr. Dahmer has been a pioneer in integrative medicine and team-based approaches to care, working closely with health coaches, social workers, nurses, phlebotomists, nutritionists and acupuncturists to create an innovative integrated care team utilizing the latest research in both humanistic values and medical technologies to advance patient-centered care. He is an avid advocate for patients and patient accessibility and intricately involved with expansion of telemedicine to improve patient-physician interaction, monitor patients' diet and lifestyle, and improve patient outcomes.
