Sathish J. Subbaiah, MD, MS, graduated summa cum laude from Yale University with a BS and MS in Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry. He earned his MD from Harvard Medical School in the Health, Sciences and Technology Program run jointly by Harvard and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Dr. Subbaiah completed his internship in general surgery and his residency in neurosurgery at Harvard/Brigham and Women’s Hospital and subsequently completed an Endoscopic/Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery Fellowship at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago. His clinical interests include endoscopic spine surgery, minimally invasive treatment of degenerative diseases of the spine, and complex neurosurgical spine disorders. Dr. Subbaiah joins the Department of Neurosurgery as Assistant Professor with a joint appointment in the Department of Health Policy. His research will focus on comparative effectiveness and outcomes studies in the management of spine disorders.
