Samantha Feder, MD, is a board certified obstetrician-gynecologist and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Science at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Dr. Feder also serves as the Director of Ambulatory Obstetrics and Gynecology at Mount Sinai West. She has been with Mount Sinai since 2000. Dr. Feder has special interests in preconception counseling and pelvic surgery.
Dr. Feder received her bachelor's degree in history from Washington University in St. Louis. During her undergraduate career, she spent a year at King's College of the University of London studying history and English. She obtained her medical degree from Mount Sinai School of Medicine, and while in medical school, she was elected to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. Dr. Feder received residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at Mount Sinai St. Luke’s and Mount Sinai West, then called St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center. During her first year of residency, she was recognized by Columbia's medical students as one of their best teachers. Also during residency, she was a Galloway Fellow at Sloan-Kettering Memorial Cancer Center. In 2002, she was appointed assistant clinical professor of obstetrics and gynecology at the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, a position she held until 2013. Dr. Feder is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
