About Me
Dr. Roberto Granato has practiced as a board-certified Urologist for over 35 years. After completing his undergraduate studies at Villanova University, Dr. Granato earned his medical degree from the University of Juarez Medical School in Mexico. He then completed his internship and residency in General Surgery at NY Presbyterian Medical Center of Queens before moving to SUNY Upstate Health Sciences Center for a second residency in Urology. With his certification by the American Board of Urology, Dr. Granato's clinical interests include male sexual dysfunction and implant surgery, incontinence, and stone diseases. Additionally, Dr. Granato is bilingual and can communicate with his patients in English and Spanish.
In his professional community, Dr. Granato is a member of the New York section of the American Urology Association, as well as a Fellow of the International College of Surgeons.
Dr. Granato has practiced in Queens for many years, and joined Mount Sinai Doctors in 2022. He explains, "I pride myself in treating patients the way I would treat family. Family is all important to me. I work hard at good patient care and support for my growing family. A patient needs to know what their condition is and the options for care; good communication is key and that begins with listening to the patient. Together, we can go over the diagnosis and treatments available. Ultimately, the patient is in charge of their health and I support their choices. My office is open to all without judgement and is a place where patients can feel safe."
