I am a board certified orthopaedic surgeon specializing in surgery of the hand and upper extremity. I have a certificate of added qualifications (CAQ) in surgery of the hand. After receiving a bachelor’s degree from The Johns Hopkins University, I went on to obtain my medical degree from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. I completed my residency in orthopaedic surgery at Mount Sinai Medical Center and further sub-specialized as a hand and upper extremity fellow at the Yale University School of Medicine.
I am a clinical assistant professor of orthopaedic surgery at Mount Sinai School of Medicine and an active member of the hand surgery service. I am intimately involved in the education of residents and medical students. My specialty interest is in the reconstruction and treatment of fractures, soft tissue injuries and neuropathies involving the hand and upper extremity. I employ both traditional surgical techniques and minimally invasive and arthroscopic techniques.
I am a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, the American Society for Surgery of the Hand and the New York Society for Surgery of the Hand. I have authored medical articles and presented at regional and national orthopaedic conferences on issues related to the hand and upper extremity.

In order to promote an ethical and transparent environment for conducting research, providing clinical care and teaching, Mount Sinai requires that salaried faculty inform the School of their relationships with such companies.
