Razia B. Akhtar, MD, is an Assistant Professor in the Jack Martin Division of Pediatric Hematology-Oncology at the Mount Sinai Kravis Children’s Hospital’s Children’s Cancer Program in the Jack and Lucy Clark Department of Pediatrics at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where she is the Director of Pediatric Neuro-Oncology. Her primary clinical focus is on brain tumors. Dr. Akhtar completed her Pediatric Residency at Morristown Memorial Hospital in New Jersey, and completed her Pediatric Hematology/Oncology fellowship at the University of Rochester Medical Center, where she practiced as an attending physician before coming to Mount Sinai. Dr. Akhtar is board certified in Pediatrics and in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology by the American Board of Pediatrics.
