About Me

Dr. Ravi Ramaswamy is Professor in the departments of Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine; Medical Education; and Family Medicine and Community Health, and the Director of Integration and Transitions Curriculum at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He has served as Co-director of the Ambulatory Care - Geriatrics clerkship for third year medical students since 2016. His expertise is in competency-based medical education, curricular innovation and learner assessment. He earned the distinction of Master Educator at the ISMMS Institute for Medical Education in 2017. Dr. Ramaswamy was tutor at the McMaster University's Evidence-based Clinical Practice workshop from 2014-2017 and served as Assessment Lead for Aquifer Geriatrics online curriculum from 2017-2023. He is the recipient of the American Geriatrics Society's 2022 Oustanding Mid-Career Clinician Educator, and the Alliance of Academic Internal Medicine's 2024 Louis N. Pangaro Educational Program Development awards. His clinical work is as an outpatient provider at the Martha Stewart Center for Living and as attending on the Geriatrics inpatient services. His academic interests include evidence-based medicine, medication management and falls prevention in older adults.
