About Me
Dr. Rahat Azfar is a Board-Certified Dermatologist. Dr. Azfar completed her Bachelor’s degree with highest honors from Rutgers University. She went on to receive her medical degree from New Jersey Medical School at the University of Medicine and Dentistry, where she was inducted into both Sigma Xi and Alpha Omega Alpha, prestigious scientific and medical honor societies, respectively. Dr. Azfar completed her internship in Internal Medicine at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, a major teaching hospital of Harvard University in Boston and her dermatology residency at the University of Pennsylvania, in Philadelphia, which is ranked as one of the top dermatology training programs in the nation.
Dr. Azfar is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology and a Fellow of the American Board of Dermatology. She is active in the academic scientific community and has published numerous manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals, written chapters in dermatology textbooks, and has been an invited speaker at international dermatology conferences and peer reviewer on multiple scientific articles.
