About Me

Dr. Praise Augustus is a Clinical Instructor of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Science at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. A New York native, she maintains an actively growing OBGYN practice on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, with a focus in prenatal care and gynecologic surgeries. Dr. Augustus’ other interests include minimally invasive surgeries, hysteroscopy, fibroid management, contraception, abnormal pap smears, abnormal uterine bleeding, sexually transmitted infections, and annual exams.

Dr. Augustus obtained her medical degree from State University of New York Downstate and completed her residency in OBGYN at New York Medical College, affiliated with Westchester Medical Center and Metropolitan Hospitals. She is a junior fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

As a medical student, Dr. Augustus was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society of The Arnold P. Gold Foundation for her exceptional bedside manner and care of her patients. During her residency, she was awarded the Gold Humanism and Excellence in Teaching Award. She is a recipient of the Martin L. Stone Resident Research Award, presenting her research on female genital mutilation at Geneva, Switzerland in 2017.
