Dr. Chun specializes in caring for patients with a range of renal conditions, both acute and chronic. He treats patients who have developed chronic kidney disease due to many different medical conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, HIV, hepatitis, or heart disease. His clinical focus also includes treating patients with renal complications related to cancer, autoimmune diseases, as well as patients with kidney stones and electrolyte abnormalities. Dr. Chun values his role in helping patients recover from acute kidney conditions as well as his long-term relationships with patients with chronic kidney conditions. In addition to his clinical interests, Dr. Chun has research interests in transplant immunology and for the past several years has studied the mechanism of transplant rejection hoping to discover novel methods to prolong graft survival and improve human health.
