Dr. Moulton-Levy graduated from Sarah Lawrence College in 2000 and spent the next two years at Naropa College in Boulder, CO taking graduate courses. She completed her studies for her medical degree in 2006, having received two scholarships to attended Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. During her last year of medical school, Dr. Moulton-Levy was a basic science research assistant working under Dr. Jouni Uitto, exploring the therapeutic effect of phosphate binders in the treatment of pseudoxanthoma elasticum. Following graduation, she did a one-year internship in Internal Medicine at Graduate Hospital in Philadelphia and entered our dermatology residency program in 2007. Dr. Moulton-Levy served as a clinical research sub-investigator during her PGY2 year comparing the efficacy of hair transplantation versus simple needle irritation in recalcitrant alopecia areata.
She is the recipient of the American Academy of Dermatology’s Minority Medical Student Mentorship Award. In addition, she served as president of the Jefferson Dermatology Society (2002-2006) and president of Jefferson Lambda Alliance. Dr. Moulton-Levy is licensed to practice medicine in New York and Michigan and is Board eligible.
To date, she has written four book chapters and an article on Kimura’s disease and has served as a reviewer for four scientific dermatology journals. She has also presented at the American Academy of Dermatology.
