Dr. Michael Robbins has practiced cardiology for over 30 years. After completing his undergraduate studies at University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Robbins attended Cornell University for his medical degree. Upon graduation, Dr. Robbins began his Internal Medicine residency at Bronx Municipal Hospital Center, where he was Chief Resident during his final year. To finish his training, Dr. Robbins moved to The Mount Sinai Hospital for his fellowship in Cardiology. With his board certifications in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Diseases, Dr. Robbins specializes in electrocardiography, as well as a wide array of cardiac conditions, including coronary artery disease, valvular disorders, arrhythmias, and heart failure.

In addition to his clinical role, Dr. Robbins has been on the faculty of the Mount Sinai Medical School since finishing his own cardiology training there. During this time, he has been active in teaching and clinical research while simultaneously maintaining an active consultative practice. Dr. Robbins' most recent research interests have centered around the detection and management of coronary disease in patients with kidney dysfunction. This work, among several of his past research subjects, has been published in numerous scientific journals.

Outside of his clinical and academic positions, Dr. Robbins is a Fellow of multiple professional organizations, including the American College of Cardiology, the American Heart Association, and the American College of Physicians.
