Matthew Y. Bai, MD, is an Assistant Professor at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and serves as the Assistant Director of Emergency Medicine at Mount Sinai Queens. Prior to medical school, he earned a master’s degree in physiology from Georgetown University, where he conducted breast cancer research and studied neurological implants. He went on to receive his medical degree from Chicago Medical School before completing a residency in emergency medicine at The Mount Sinai Hospital, garnering valuable experience treating patients in a busy hospital environment.
Dr. Bai provides emergency care at Mount Sinai Queens, treating patients with illnesses and injuries that require immediate medical attention. He values speed and rapid assessment, reducing wait times by quickly and competently diagnosing illnesses in the acute phase before coordinating care with specialists and determining a patient’s need for further treatment.
