About Me

Dr. Oransky earned his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Fordham University in New York.  He completed his Pre-Doctoral Clinical Psychology Internship at the Yale University Medical School’s Child Study Center.  Dr. Oransky also completed a Post-Doctoral Fellowship at the Yale Child Study Center’s Childhood Trauma Program, where he received specialized training in psychological interventions for children, adolescents and families exposed to potentially traumatic events. Currently, Dr. Oransky is on faculty at Mount Sinai's Center for Transgender Medicine and Surgery, where he coordinates mental health services for child and adolescent patients. Prior to this possition, Dr. Oransky was the Director of Psychology Training at the Mount Sinai Adolescent health Center, where he also oversaw mental health services for transgender and gender expansive youth, provided a range of clinical services, and supervised trainees and staff. Dr. Oransky is currently a clinical supervisor in an APA Accredited Clinical Psychology Pre-Doctoral Internship Program at Mount Sinai. Dr. Oransky’s research interests have focused on the description and dissemination of gender affirming services for transgender youth; factors that impact youths’ responses to trauma; the impact of gender role expectations on adolescent development and the ethical treatment of vulnerable research subjects.
