About Dr. Marina I Peredo, M.D., F.A.A.D
Labeled a “Super Doctor” by The New York Times and a “Top Doctor” by Castle Connolly, Dr. Marina I. Peredo, M.D., F.A.A.D, is a board-certified dermatologist with 20+ years of experience. Believing dermatologists can have a direct impact on someone’s confidence; Dr. Peredo strives to bring out the beauty that is already present. By employing a less is more philosophy, she works to reveal a patient's unique self over relying on a one-size-fits-all face.
Always on the forefront of the most advanced treatments and technologies and, armed with the understanding of her patients’ concerns about aging, Dr. Peredo founded Marina I. Peredo, M.D., P.C. Dermatology and Spatique Medical Spa in Smithtown, NY where she skillfully provides medical, surgical, cosmetic dermatology and aesthetic services to her patients. In the spring of 2015, Dr. Peredo expanded her practice to Manhattan’s UES with the opening of Skinfluence™, where science meets the artistic. From leading the charge in holistic and preventative care to advocating a balanced approach to aesthetic care, Dr. Peredo and Skinfluence are a transformative force in the crowded skin care landscape. One example includes offering patients Firmatherapy™, a customized approach that combines lasers, ultrasound, fillers and toxin for lower face rejuvenation and skin tightening.
Dr. Peredo received her medical degree from Mount Sinai School of Medicine, completed her internal medicine internship at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center and her dermatology residency at New York Hospital-Cornell University Medical College. She is currently an Associate Clinical Professor of Dermatology at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, where she teaches residents and fellows and was a 5-time recipient of the teacher of the year award.
Dr. Peredo is a key participant in the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, the Skin Cancer Foundation, where she provides complimentary skin cancer screenings, Long Island Dermatology Society, Women’s Dermatologic Society and New York State Society of Dermatology. She conducts numerous clinical studies, is a national trainer, speaker and educator for pharmaceutical companies such as Allergan, Galderma, and Merz. As a primary investigator, she continues to actively participate in FDA clinical research trials. She has also done pro-bono work for Beyond Our Borders.
Dr. Peredo has been recognized by the media as a guest on national shows, including The View, Good Morning America, Fox News, Telemundo and the British Broadcasting Company. Her editorial credits include such publications as W, NewBeauty Magazine, Cosmopolitan, Elle, Seventeen, Prevention, Good Housekeeping, Harper’s Bazaar, Men’s Health, The New York Times and The New York Post. She publishes in peer-reviewed journals and lectures regularly at medical symposia, both nationally and internationally. Dr. Peredo is fluent in Russian and Spanish.
