About Me

Dr. Menon joined the Department of Nephrology and the Recanati/Miller Transplantation Institute after pursuing an intensive research track.  Dr. Menon completed fellowships in Nephrology as well as Transplant Nephrology at Mount Sinai. Dr. Menon has joined the faculty at Mount Sinai and currently runs a clinical practice in transplant and general Nephrology and remains active in research.

Dr. Menon's specific interests extend from his mentored research that are related to the application of genomics on chronic kidney allograft failure and kidney fibrosis.  As a result of this research, Shroom3 has been identified as a gene whose expression precedes and correlates with allograft fibrosis.

Dr. Menon is also the site primary investigator (Site PI) for the CTOT-19 that seeks to study the impact of inhibiting early allograft inflammation on long term outcomes in kidney transplantation.
