Dr. Gerber is a licensed clinical psychologist at the Mount Sinai Adolescent Health Center as well as an Assistant Professor at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Dr. Gerber earned her doctorate in School - Clinical Child Psychology from the Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology in New York. Prior to joining the faculty at Mount Sinai, she completed her Post-Doctoral Fellowship at Mount Sinai St. Luke’s Hospital, where she specialized in the treatment of high-risk adolescents. She completed her Pre-Doctoral Clinical Psychology Internship at Mount Sinai St. Luke’s Hospital.
Dr. Gerber has worked in a variety of settings, including schools, day treatment centers, inpatient psychiatric units, and outpatient clinics providing individual, group, and family therapy. Dr. Gerber’s clinical specialties include severe psychopathology in adolescents and young adults, co-occurring disorders (mental health and chemical dependency), trauma, and diversity issues. She will continue to develop these interests as a faculty member through her clinical work and research here at the Adolescent Health Center. Dr. Gerber is also a clinical supervisor in the APA Accredited Clinical Psychology Pre-Doctoral Internship Program and the Psychology Externship Program.
