Lance A Barazani, MD
About Me
Dr. Barazani received his BS degree in Biochemistry in 1982 from Brandies University and his MD degree from New York Medical College in 1986 where he was awarded the Alfred Schwartz Award for Pathology and was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha. Dr. Barazani did a one-year internship at North Shore University Hospital after which he entered an Internal Medicine residency at University Hospital at Stony Brook. He completed this residency in 1989 and went on to do a two-year postdoctoral Research Fellowship in the Laboratory for Investigative Dermatology at The Rockefeller University. Concurrnetly, Dr. Barazani was an Associate Physician at The Rockefeller University Hosptial. In 1991 he entered the dermatology residency program at New York Hospital-Cornel Medical Center, successfully completing his residency in 1994. Since that time he has been employed as an Associate Dermatologist at Advanced Dermatology, PC in West Islip, New York and at two other facilities operated by Advanced Dermatology. Dr. Barazani is Board certified and licensed to practice medicine in New York
Dr. Barazani has conducted research on psoriasis, wound healing among other cutaneous disorders and his findings have been published in the Journal of Investigative Dermatology.
