Dr. Kevin Hu is an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine and the Co-Director of Emergency Ultrasound at Mount Sinai Beth Israel. Additionally, he practices clinically at multiple other Mount Sinai Health System hospitals and urgent care centers as well as Elmhurst Hospital Center. He is currently a member of the Mount Sinai School of Medicine Admissions Committee.
Dr. Hu graduated from the University at Buffalo School of Medicine. He completed residency in Emergency Medicine at Mount Sinai during which he was a Harvard Macy Scholar, a MERC Scholar, and a member of the Student Advisement Task Force under the Council of Residency Directors. Subsequently, he continued training at Mount Sinai to complete an Ultrasound Fellowship, served as the vice chair of the Emergency Medicine Residents Association Ultrasound Committee, and was the recipient of two national awards from the Society of Academic Emergency Medicine: the Emergency Ultrasound Fellow Research Award and the Best Cross-Sectional Research Study.
His academic/professional interests are point-of-care ultrasound, medical education, resident mentorship, physician financial literacy, and clinical performance optimization.
