Kevin Yao, MD, is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Neurosurgery at Mount Sinai. He obtained his medical degree in New York City at Columbia University and completed a residency in neurosurgery at The Mount Sinai Hospital. Dr. Yao also completed a fellowship in complex brain and spine tumor surgery at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. Dr. Yao eventually joined the Neurosurgery faculty at Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, where he served as Co-Director of the Brain Tumor Center, Director of Spinal Oncology, and Director of Stereotactic and Gamma Knife Radiosurgery at Tufts Medical Center. He then returned to the New York metropolitan area, where he currently practices in New York City and Northern New Jersey. Dr. Yao strives to maximize each patient’s quality of life by restoring and preserving neurological function.
