Casey Crump, MD, PhD is the Vice Chair for Research in the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health, and Professor of Epidemiology in the Department of Population Health Science and Policy at Mount Sinai.  He previously served as Director of the Center for Primary Care Research at Stanford University.  His research focuses on life course epidemiology through an ongoing partnership with Lund University in Sweden, and health disparities research at the Institute for Family Health in New York.  He is currently using Swedish national cohort data to conduct studies in three main areas:  (1) early-life physical fitness in relation to long-term health outcomes, (2) adult outcomes of preterm birth, and (3) early-life risk factors for cancers.
