Julia Budde, MD, is an Assistant Professor at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and practices pulmonary medicine at Mount Sinai Doctors Queens. She completed a duel degree program at Emory University, earning both her medical degree and a Master’s degree in public health. Dr. Budde went on to complete a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. During her residency and fellowship, she enjoyed collaborating with other physicians—working together to coordinate comprehensive treatment for patients in an intensive care environment.

Dr. Budde provides specialized pulmonary care with a focus on simplifying treatment plans and promoting overall health outcomes. Because respiratory conditions often involve complex symptoms, Dr. Budde is especially skilled in diagnosing and explaining them to patients. She works to facilitate communication among the entire care team. She encourages open dialogue with patients and prioritizes listening to their concerns, meanwhile fostering a judgment-free atmosphere with every person who steps into her office. With an interest in public health, Dr. Budde emphasizes population health, disease prevention, and smoking cessation.
