Joseph Panarelli, MD

About Me

Joseph F. Panarelli, MD specializes in the treatment of adult and pediatric glaucoma. Dr. Panarelli is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, and he is a member of the American Glaucoma Society as well as the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He currently serves as the Associate Residency Program Director at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai as well as Glaucoma Fellowship Director. Dr. Panarelli received his undergraduate and medical education from Georgetown University, and he began his postdoctoral education at the Lenox Hill Hospital with a general medicine internship. He then completed his ophthalmology residency at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary and glaucoma fellowship at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute. Dr. Panarelli is dedicated to providing his patients with excellent care. He approaches his patients with care and respect, listening intently and asking questions to ensure that he fully understands their needs, and fully explicates his course of treatment to encourage a positive experience.

In 2017 Dr. Panarelli was listed in Castle Connelly Top Doctors and he is a 2016 recipient of the RICBAC Foundation Grant.
