Joanne Lai, MD is a board-certified pediatric gastroenterologist and an assistant professor of the Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology at the Mount Sinai Kravis Children's Hospital. She completed her pediatric residency at Cohen Children's Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at Mount Sinai. She is passionate about providing comprehensive, up-to-date and compassionate care for children with gastrointestinal and liver diseases. Dr Lai directs pediatric intestinal rehabilitation care in coordination with the multidisciplinary team of transplant surgeons, nursing and nutrition coordinators of the Mount Sinai Intestinal Rehabilitation and Transplant Program. In coordination with pediatrician pulmonology, otolaryngology, nutrition, and speech, language and feeding specialists, Dr Lai provides specialized care for patients with complex Aerodigestive disorders.
