Jesleen Ahluwalia, MD

About Me

Dr. Ahulwalia earned her B.A degree from Tufts University in 2001 and her M.S in Biophysics and Physiology from Georgetwon University in 2003. in 2007, she received her M.D degree from the University of Toledo College in Medicine in Toledo, OH. Prior to entering her dermatology residency at Wayne State University, Dr. Ahluwalia did an one-year internship in medicine at the university of Illinois at Chicago.

The recipient of many awards, Dr. Ahluwalia was chosen for the Resident of Distinction Award at the 2012 Winter Clinical Dermatology conference, one of the most prestigious dermatology venues in the country. In 2011, she was recipient of three awards, including the Amir Mehregan Award for Academic Excellence for the highest cumulative scores on the annual in training exam; an American Academy of Dermatology International Resident Travel Grant which allowed her to participate in a four-week elective in Bostwana to establish a dermatology support program and teledermatology consult service; and was named Advanced Resident Training and Education Scholar by the Orlando Dermatology Aesthetic and Clinical Conference. In 2005, Dr. Ahluwalia received the Otto Sasse and Vernon Volland Memorial Scholarship for Academic Excellence, and was recognized by the Women's Dermatologic Society with the Medical Student Awareness Grant that same year.
