Jennifer Mckelvey, PhD

About Me

Jennifer McKelvey, Ph.D. is a graduate of the Clinical and School Psychology Ph.D. Program at Hofstra University. She completed her predoctoral internship at Bellevue Hospital Center in NYC and her postdoctoral fellowship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Massachusetts as a Harvard Fellow. She utilizes Cognitive-Behavioral, Acceptance and Commitment and Interpersonal therapies in her psychotherapeutic work.
Though she has predominately worked with individuals experiencing psychotic symptoms, she has also worked with individuals experiencing a wide range of issues including anxiety (panic, phobias, generalized anxiety and obsessive-compulsive symptoms), depression and interpersonal issues, among others.

Dr. McKelvey is currently a staff psychologist at the Psychiatric Recovery Center at Mount Sinai St. Luke’s Hospital, an outpatient clinic that provides treatment to individuals experiencing psychosis.
