Dr. Briley is a Clinical Instructor in the Kimberly and Eric J. Waldman Department of Dermatology at The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.


In 1991, Dr. Briley received his B.A in German Studies from Auburn University (AL) and a B.S. in Biomedical Studies cum laude in 1996 from the same University. He earned his DO degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2002 and then did his internship at St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx. Dr. Briley then entered St. John’s Episcopal Hospital’s residency program in Family Medicine, graduating in 2005 and completing a second residency in Dermatology at St. John’s in 2008.  Dr. Briley is Board certified and is licensed to practice medicine in New York.


During and following formal studies, Dr. Briley has been the recipient of many awards, including the National Psoriasis Foundation’s 9th Annual Chief Resident’s Scholarship Meeting, the Skin Disease Education Foundation’s Senior Dermatology Resident Scholarship Program, an Annual Summit Scholarship from ARTE in Dermatology and most recently Teacher of the Year award from Mount Sinai Beth Israel and Mount Sinai St. Luke’s Roosevelt (2015).
