About Me

Dr. Harvey Gorrin has been practicing Allergy & Immunology medicine for over 40 years and joined Mount Sinai in 2017. After completing his undergraduate studies at the University of Southern California, Dr. Gorrin graduated with his medical degree from the University of Missouri School of Medicine. During his doctorate studies, Dr. Gorrin completed a fellowship in Pathology at the University of Missouri. He then completed both his internship and residency in Pediatric Medicine at Albert Einstein-Bronx Municipal Hospital Center. To finish his extensive training, Dr. Gorrin moved to the University of California San Diego for his Pediatric Immunology and Allergy fellowship. As a double-board certified physician by the American Board of Pediatrics and the American Board of Allergy & Immunology, Dr. Gorrin's areas of expertise include asthma, rash, hives, hay fever, and allergies.

In addition to his clinical role, Dr. Gorrin spent 30 years as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He also holds fellowship status in the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology, as well as in the Joint Council of Allergy and Immunology.

When working with his patients, Dr. Gorrin focuses on preventative healthcare and treats each patient in a structured manner, focusing not just on the ailment but also on the general wellbeing of the patient.
