Hari Rajagopal, MD is Assistant Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Pediatric Cardiology in the Jack and Lucy Clark Department of Pediatrics at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and Mount Sinai Kravis Children's Hospital and the Children's Heart Center. He completed his residency in pediatrics from New York Medical College and its affiliated hospital, Maria Fareri Children's Hospital, a member of the Westchester Medical Center Health Network and his pediatric cardiology fellowship from Mount Sinai Hospital. Dr. Rajagopal was recruited to our lab after excelling in his fourth year advanced fellowship in advanced multimodality imaging at the Mount Sinai Hospital. He is proficient in all imaging modalities including echocardiography, fetal echocardiography and has a special expertise in cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). His research interests are in development of echocardiographic normative data and also in congenital cardiac advanced imaging including cardiac MRI and CT. Dr. Rajagopal is also involved in the education of cardiology and maternal-fetal medicine fellows, as well as pediatrics residents and medical students.
Dr. Rajagopal also serves as the Assistant Director of Pediatric Cardiology and Director of Fetal Cardiology at South Nassau Community Hospital (SNCH), Long Island Medical Centre. He specializes in the diagnosis and perinatal management patients with fetal cardiovascular pathology. He also manages these patients after birth, follows them throughout their childhood and oversees management of heart disease in both the outpatient and inpatient settings.
