Francesco Callipari, MD, is an Assistant Clinical Professor and the System Vice-Chair of Operations in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Science at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Dr. Callipari has special interests in Obstetrics, General Gynecology, and Clinical Informatics.
Dr. Callipari is the Medical Director for the OB/GYN Faculty Practice at The Mount Sinai Hospital. He is also the Lead Physician for the Clinical Informatics Optimization team for the Health System and facilitates the EPIC Ambulatory Work Group.
Dr. Callipari is a member of both the Mount Sinai Independent Practice Association and the OB/GYN Department’s Quality Improvement Committee. He participates actively in departmental policy writing and review, as well as departmental strategic planning.
Dr. Callipari is a recipient of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology’s National Faculty Award, which is given to physicians who demonstrate excellence in resident education.
Dr. Callipari received his medical degree from University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey—formerly known as the New Jersey Medical School—in 1992. He completed his OB/GYN residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in 1996. Dr. Callipari is fluent in English, Italian, and Spanish.
