About Me

Dr. Feng-Kuei Chiang is an instructor in Dr. Erin Rich’s Lab at Neuroscience Department and Friedman Brain Institute. Dr. Chiang's research interests focus on neurophysiological signals in the prefrontal cortex involved in hierarchically organized behavior, and how neuron codings change underlying the sequential behaviors. Recent pioneering efforts in identifying cognitive strategies used in working memory tasks, including the recent discovery of distributed coding in primate prefrontal cortex supporting these strategies, hold great promise for understanding the functions of the prefrontal cortex in flexible behaviors. Dr. Chiang joined Rich lab in 2017 after graduated from UC Berkeley.
