Erica Grabscheid, MD

A dedicated inpatient clinician, Dr. Grabscheid completed a 4-year honors residency which concentrated in Hospital Medicine. She is now a board certified, Senior Academic Hospitalist as well as a Professor of Medicine. As such, Dr. Grabscheid has worked for the past 23 years as an Attending Physician at Mount Sinai Beth Israel (formerly Beth Israel Medical Center), New York, NY. 
Her passion revolves around clinical patient care and mentoring/ teaching, all occurring on the inpatient medical wards, comanagement service, observation unit, pre-surgical testing suite, and medical consult service. Dr. Grabscheid provides inclusive frontline care to a mostly underserved and diverse (e.g., race, ethnicity, socioeconomic, sexual orientation/ gender identity, primary spoken language, age) population; she specializes in patients who are medically complex with multiple comorbidities. Dedicated to her community, she answered the call of duty during challenging periods such as 9/11 and Hurricane Sandy. And in acknowledgement of recent times, Dr. Grabscheid is a COVID-19 first responder.
